The Canadian Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences  (CARAS) is a not-for-profit organization whose main focus is the exploration and development of opportunities to promote and celebrate Canadian artists and music.

CARAS serves as an umbrella organization to the JUNO Awards - Canada\'s Music Awards, the CARAS Music Education Program and the Canadian Music Hall of Fame.

The JUNO Awards is Canada\'s premiere music awards show. This nationally televised awards show recognizes and celebrates excellence of achievement in recorded music.

MusiCounts, Canada\'s music education charity associated with CARAS, is dedicated to ensuring that young Canadians, regardless of socio-economic circumstances and cultural background, have the opportunity to experience the joy of music, explore their talent, build self-esteem and, above all, dream big.

Since its establishment in 1997, MusiCounts will have:

    * donated more than $3 million through its Band Aid musical instrument grants and scholarships
    * impacted 190 post-secondary music program graduates and close to 200,000 students, their schools and communities from coast to coast
    * honoured four extraordinary music teachers through the MusiCounts Teacher of the Year Award

CARAS has been inducting into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame (CMHF) since 1978 and has inducted 57 artists and industry professionals since that time.

Greylock Entertainment has provided marketing consulting services for CARAS and the JUNO Awards and continues to work with the organization on a project by project basis.
